Chomps Voluntary Internal Recall Information

We want to keep you updated on our recently announced internal recall. After a thorough investigation in coordination with our third-party manufacturing partner and under USDA oversight, Chomps is voluntarily recalling select lots of Original Beef Sticks and Original Turkey Sticks produced at one facility due to the potential presence of foreign material, specifically metal fragment.
The issue was discovered after Chomps investigated two consumer complaints reporting the potential presence of metal fragment in the meat stick product. There have been no reported adverse reaction or injuries. This internal recall was initiated as a precautionary measure out of an abundance of caution. Our consumers are, and always will be, our number one priority.
The product was packaged at a single facility between January 16, 2025 through January 23, 2025. Impacted products and lots are summarized here: Check Your Product
Please see below to find out if you have an affected product. Lot codes can be identified at the bottom of your stick below the barcode. If you have a pouch, please remove a stick from the pouch to check. Consumers who have affected products should not consume their products. Consumers should instead return those products to your retailer of purchase for a refund. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. Every decision we make at Chomps is guided by one goal: keeping our customers safe. That’s why we acted quickly and decisively to remove select lots of our Original Beef and Turkey sticks from the market. Working closely with our manufacturing partner and the USDA, we identified the impacted product and, out of an abundance of caution, voluntarily included additional lots to ensure any potentially affected product is fully accounted for. Our commitment doesn’t stop here—we will continue to take every measure necessary to maintain the trust our customers place in us.

Questions About Our Recall
The issue was discovered after Chomps investigated two consumer complaints reporting the potential presence of metal fragment in the meat stick product. The recall only affects specific lots of 1.15oz Original Beef (12 Ct Pouches, 8 Ct Pouches, Single Sticks) and 1.15 Original Turkey Single Stick packaged between January 16th, 2025 and January 23rd, 2025. Products outside of these specific lots are not impacted. CHECK YOUR PRODUCT
