The Job:  Team CHOMPS is searching for a high energy, highly motivated, and creative Regional Account Manager for the Eastern Region.  You will be responsible for growing and managing the Chomps business with distributer partners, current customers and opening new business.  Success will result from deepening the customer relationship, developing sales strategy, managing a dynamic broker network and facilitating cross-functional collaboration internally.  You will report to the Sales Director and work closely with the entire sales team to ensure your efforts stay connected to the efforts of the company.

Responsibilities:

This role will own sales and execution in the Eastern Region.

  • Build strong relationships with Key customer and Broker contacts
  • Prepare and meet with customers for regular business reviews
  • Open and prospect new business opportunities 
  • Ensure execution of new product launches and promotional execution 
  • Lead, train and build a strong relationship with assigned brokers and retail execution partners 
  • Use data for fact-based selling and strategic decision-making 
  • Grow assigned business with keen understanding and proactive management of channel implications in the marketplace 
  • Manage distribution, voids, in-stock levels, pricing/promotion and display compliance 
  • Build an annual sales and execution plan
  • Actively participate in industry trade shows and customer shows
  • Work closely with sales operations and finance on all aspects of each account such as data, promotional, trade, forecasting, new item setup needs

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry 
  • A minimum of 1 – 3 year’s experience as an Account Manager or equivalent position focused on Grocery, Natural/Specialty or Mass. 
  • Proven and successful sales management track record 
  • Must be an analytical thinker and data-driven; strong data analysis skills and experience working with relevant data 
  • Broker management experience 
  • Excellent communication skills with external customers, peers, supervisors, and internal supporting departments 
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings - approximately 30% of time

  • Very strong team player, ability to work with cross-functional teams to get results. 
  • Experience in a start-up environment ideal, but not required 
  • Have a history or willing to work with trade management and demand planning software 
  • Highly responsive & available via email. 
  • Strong PC skills including online applications, MS Office, Google Docs, Salesforce or similar CRM. 
  • Passion for natural and organic products. 
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings - approximately 30% of time
