We still use the beef casings on all of our Chomps sticks because other casings (i.e. vegetarian casings) do not meet our Whole30 and, potentially, our non-GMO requirements. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options for casings, but this could change in the future!
Our farms’ free-range protocol requires that the birds are raised either completely outdoors or in an indoor/outdoor environment with access to fresh grass, shade, and sunlight, beginning at the time they move out of the broader barn, generally at 6 weeks of age. This process allows the birds access to outdoor areas 4+ times the size of areas provided by the average commercial turkey ranch.

Yes! You can compare this to when you cook ground beef compared to ground turkey - they have different textures. Same with our sticks!

Each protein option will have a bit of a different texture. The turkey flavors do have a dryer texture than our beef or venison BUT we’ve found that if turkey is one of your favorite protein options, you’ll LOVE our turkey sticks.
