Accounting, Associate

Must Haves:

  • CPG Industry Experience
  • B.S. in Accounting
  • Inventory and/or Trade Accounting Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting: Audit, Transaction Services, GL / Accounting Department
  • Direct experience preparing month end reconciliations
  • Deep understanding of GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

 

Strong Preference to Haves:

  • Management experience, or at least high comfort / desire to manage third parties or direct reports
  • ERP & inventory system experience – implementation, active utilization
  • Direct experience supporting or conducting an audit

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain & prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Active participant in month end close, preparing journal entries, financial reporting analysis, and completing and adhering to internal controls
  • Working with third-party accounting support to maintain accuracy and timeliness of recordkeeping
  • Key role in providing audit and tax support
  • Work with third-party accounting to maintain compliance and record keeping for sales taxes and other regulatory taxes
  • Work cross-functionally within the organization to maintain, review, and report on inventory
  • Assist with invoicing and recording of product shipments
  • Support finance department as needed

Demand Planning & Inventory Management, Associate or Manager

What You Will Do

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious supply chain professional to join the team as a Manager of Demand Planning and Inventory Management.  In this role, you will contribute to improving visibility, accuracy, and overall supply chain performance for our growing organization.  You will own all aspects of demand planning and collaborate with production, sales, and marketing to develop and own a robust forecast plan.  You will also assist in managing inventory levels and replenishment needs.  You will be a key player to in avoiding stock outs while maintaining adequate inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a rolling 12-month sales forecast and demand plan
  • Gather, analyze, and draw insights from historical data to improve plan accuracy with specific attention to out of stocks, pipe fills, and one-time events
  • Manage, analyze, and improve the transfer of goods from co-manufacturers into our distribution and fulfillment centers
  • Analyze sales and stock levels to determine re-order levels and timing
  • Collaborate with production operations team to develop monthly reporting and score cards focused on achieving working capital and fill rate targets
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales team through excellent communication skills to ensure an effective sales forecasting process and provide analytic support as necessary
  • Learn current planning tools and become functional expert within team
  • Identify areas of improvement to drive improved forecasts, fill rates and inventory levels and develop/present recommendations
  • Perform gap analysis for past planning performance and implement corrective action plan with key business stakeholders
  • Provide cost-benefit analysis to optimize all Supply Chain cost-savings
  • Assist in the documentation of current and future state processes and support the selection and implementation of supply chain / ERP technologies
  • Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts at warehouses at minimum 2x/Year

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-5 years of Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, and/or Inventory Management within the branded food, food and beverage manufacturing, and/or e-commerce industries
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and production / inventory management technology platforms
  • Prior experience with advanced planning systems
  • Outstanding analytical skills with demonstrated success organizing, analyzing and accurately drawing actionable insights from complex data sets
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage multi-project workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Self-starter who is very result and detail-oriented

E-Commerce Operations, Specialist or Analyst

What You Will Do

We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented professional to join the team as E-commerce Operations Specialist.  In this role, you will contribute to support our day to day operations with managing Amazon inventory, shipment planning and coordination, and executing to hit needs to deliver to forecast. Own special E-commerce projects related to bundles, new sku launch scheduling etc. You will become skilled with Amazon Vendor, Amazon Seller and other E-commerce platforms (Walmart.com etc).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze in-stock levels to properly execute all Amazon FBA shipment coordination including shipment creation, delivery timing and check in monitoring
  • Analyze in-stock levels and coordinate any OOS’s with order back up (Amazon’s Fulfilled by Merchant)
  • Collaborate with production operations team to develop weekly FBA shipment planning process
  • Collaborate with E-commerce team to learn about upcoming initiatives and planned promotions that will impact sell-through and demand to better shipment planning accuracy
  • Develop and maintain an internal Amazon in-stock report to better shipment planning processes
  • Assist with new E-commerce platform onboarding including item set up, onboarding, shipment coordination and content
  • Assist with new E-commerce sku onboarding on already existing platforms including item set up, content submissions (i.e. Fresh Direct, SnackMagic, Bodybuilding, GoPuff, Lucky Vitamin, VitaCost, Outdoorly etc)
  • Collaborate on other ad-hoc E-commerce projects including but not limited to site audits, competitor tracking, sku comparison, new sku projects and initiatives (bundles, mixed packs, mixed brand bundles)

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Analytics, Operations, Management or other similar
  • Entry level role, 1-2 years of full time or internship experience within the CPG and/or e-commerce industries is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Excel

What You Will Do

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to join our FP&A team as an Associate. As Chomps’ first dedicated FP&A hire, this position has tremendous development opportunities, positioning you to be a visible contributor. You will work with leadership to develop and enhance the finance and planning function at Chomps. You will help ensure alignment of Chomps’ financial and strategic plans with the highest-level goals and objectives of our business, applying understanding of the key business drivers that should inform decisions and anticipate impacts. You will be responsible for delivering high quality analysis and reporting meaningful insights that enable data-informed decisions across the organization. This role is strategic, results-oriented, and requires an individual who is highly analytical and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic insight and recommendations to the business driven by data, with particular focus on KPIs, trends, growth, and profitability
  • Perform detailed analysis of current and past trends in all areas of revenue, cost of sales, and other expenses
  • Anticipate, perform, and own ad-hoc projects and analyses to support the rest of the organization, support timely execution against timelines, and drive towards established goals
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary
  • Create and maintain dashboards and other BI tools to enhance financial visibility and real-time performance tracking
  • Assist with strategic and financial planning processes; collaborate with business leaders to support forecasting meetings and input preparation
  • Create and maintain financial models
  • Prepare financial and strategic slides for use with senior leadership and full team; leverage data and analysis to deliver narrative and insights
  • Collaborate with accounting to streamline financial close process and financial reporting

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in quantitative field (e.g., FP&A, investment banking, consulting)
  • Expert in in Excel with excellent analytical skills and a strong proficiency in financial modeling
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability to anticipate questions and “connect-the-dots”
  • Exceptional judgement and maturity, including an ability to execute independently and collaborate with team members across levels
  • Ability to succinctly communicate complex messaging in a credible and clear manner
  • Results-focused, team-oriented and a strong work ethic
  • Prior experience in the branded food and beverage and/or e-commerce industries is a plus
  • Familiarity with BI, CRM and financial planning applications is a plus
