As our Chompian(s) of the Month for February, we have two women who are not only huge fans of Chomps but host the HERself Podcast, a podcast about all things women experience from tackling motherhood, dealing with mental health, why adult friendships are so hard, feeling overwhelmed, decluttering your house and more. Meet Abby Green and Amy Kiefer!
Can you tell us about yourself - what you do, a bit about your story, etc.?
We are podcasters, moms of three kids each, business owners and best friends. We met in college and were acquaintances for years until our life paths started to cross in multiple ways. When we both wanted to start a podcast with a similar goal and audience, we jumped at the opportunity to work together! Almost three years and 3 million downloads later, we are loving what we do!
What’s your best tip on how to stay positive?
Amy: Life is short, and there is going to be ups and downs. Just understand that!
Abby: At the end of my life I want to look back on a life well lived. A full life where I took the opportunities that served me and didn't let negativity stop me from stepping into my potential.
What’s your workout routine?
Amy: I lift 3 days a week and 1-2 cardio sessions.
Abby: I lift 2 days a week and 1-2 cardio sessions. We both walk everyday!
How do you consider yourself a “game changer?”
Amy: When I show up as my most authentic self it gives other women the permission to do the same! This is a game changer.
Abby: I work as a mindset coach to help women reframe from the inside out. When we can be at peace with ourselves, the whole world changes for the better!
What’s the best thing you do for your personal health everyday (mental or physical)?
We walk as much as we can! We take business meetings on a pretty trail near our office and the mid day movement makes us more productive, positive, and brighter in our roles.
We both grab a Chomps in the afternoon along with fruit for the perfect snack! We love adding Chomps to the diaper bag or car so that we can make healthy decisions even in a pinch. It helps that our kids all love Chomps too!
