What’s your best tip on how to stay positive?
I have post-it notes all over my house with encouraging, uplifting and inspirational phrases to remind me of my "WHY"and uplift me on the days when I face challenges or need motivation. I"m also a huge believer in finding gratitude in the worst of situations. When we look back in hindsight, there are always gifts and blessings that come. My story is a great example of that!
What’s your workout routine?
3 hour Gymnastics practice 3 days/week and 1.5 hour strength and conditioning 2 days/week
How do you consider yourself a “game changer?” This is 100% open to your interpretation!
Having unfinished business, I returned to my childhood sport of gymnastics after a spinal fracture cut my dreams short and ended my career at age 16. Despite another spinal fracture and a ruptured ACL in my knee, at age 49, I decided to start training again with the encouragement of my chiropractor and PT and got ready for my first competition in 12 weeks! Competing as an adult has brought me all over including London and Bermuda earning 27 Gold medals to date. I believe in challenging your limits and staying active by keeping those things in our life that bring us joy. Life brings obstacles, but I'm living proof that at age 53, you can still be a game changer with the right mindset, dedication, proper nutrition and having a good support team
