"Bacon", Fig and Gruyere Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 2 oz gruyere cheese, grated
  • A few sprigs of thyme
  • 8 figs, sliced thin
  • 1 Original Beef Chomp Stick
  • 1/2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt 

Directions

  1. First, slice your Chomps slices very thin and then sauté in a pan with about 1/2 tbsp of avocado oil and sea salt for about 5-7 minutes to “caramelize”.

  2. Make the grilled cheese by keeping your heat in the pan at about medium-high. Spread mayo over both slices of sourdough. Place both slices, mayo side down, onto skillet.

  3. Grate gruyere cheese on one slice of bread while you place slices figs, thyme and a few Chomps on the other slice. Smash both slices together and then cook on both sides until golden brown.

  4. Slice down the middle and serve. Enjoy!
