How to Make Keto Stuffing

Follow these simple steps to create a flavorful keto stuffing that's perfect for your holiday table:

  1. Grease a 3 qt. baking dish or a 9x13 baking dish and set to the side.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400. Place the keto bread cubes on a rimmed baking sheet and place in the oven to dry out for 20 minutes, tossing once.
  3. Meanwhile, saute the onion, carrot, celery and wild mushrooms in a large saute pan with half of the ghee for 9-10 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  4. Add the diced root vegetables and the sliced Chomps Turkey Jerky and continue sautéing until the root vegetables are beginning to soften and the jerky is slightly browned.
  5. Remove from the heat and toss with the dried keto friendly bread cubes.
  6. Toss with the dried rosemary, sage, thyme and salt and toss to mix.
  7. In a small bowl whisk together the eggs and the turkey stock. Pour over the bread, jerky and vegetable mixture and gently toss until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  8. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  9. Melt the remaining ghee and drizzle evenly over the top and cover tightly with foil.
  10. Turn the oven down to 350 and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Storing and Reheating Your Keto Stuffing

Proper storage and reheating are crucial to maintain the delicious flavor and texture of your keto stuffing. After enjoying your holiday meal, let any leftover stuffing cool to room temperature. Then, transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

When you're ready to enjoy your leftover keto stuffing, there are several reheating methods to consider:

  1. Oven method: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the stuffing in an oven-safe dish, cover with foil, and heat for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes to crisp up the top.
  2. Microwave method: For a quick reheat, place a portion of the stuffing on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with a damp paper towel to prevent drying out, and heat in 30-second intervals until warmed through.
  3. Stovetop method: For a crispy texture, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of ghee or oil, then add the stuffing. Stir occasionally until heated through and slightly crispy on the edges.
